Ivan coordinates the project, manages its funding and supervises the postdoctoral fellow and PhD student. His experience spans radiolytic, sol–gel, hydrothermal and mechanochemical synthesis. He will design and carry out HEA nanoparticle synthesis, establish electrochemical measurement capabilities and test the materials. His characterization expertise includes XRD line-broadening analysis, SEM and Raman spectroscopy. He will also contribute to dissemination through scientific publications.

Matea's expertise includes electrochemical impedance spectroscopy and testing of active battery materials, developed through her doctoral research on nanostructured silicon anodes for lithium-ion cells. She is also experienced in in-situ Raman spectroscopy. On RadHydroCats she will carry out cyclic voltammetry, linear sweep voltammetry and chronoamperometry, and share electrochemical expertise with the postdoctoral fellow and PhD student.

Matej will investigate HEA catalytic activity using density functional theory (DFT). His contribution includes analysis of the density of states (DOS), d-band centers and Bader charges, supporting the interpretation of electronic structure and the design of candidate alloy catalysts.
